PLEASE READ RULES AND INFORMATION BEFORE SENDING AN ENTRY   

Classes 1 to 18 are open to competitors of 17 yrs and over.

 COMPOSITION – 13th November 2010

 

 

 A PRIZE OF £25.00 WILL BE AWARDED TO THE WINNER
OF EACH OF THE COMPOSITION CLASSES

 

 Class 40

 COMPOSITION - up to GCSE Standard

 £6.00

 

 Composition may be offered for any solo instrument, combination of instruments and/or keyboard.  A live performance or good quality cassette/CD recording must be offered with either a fully notated score or, where appropriate, (synthesized electronic music etc.) an annotation of the composition process verified by the competitor’s parent/ teacher.

 

 

 The composition and, where appropriate, the cassette/CD recording must be submitted to Mrs B Bury  by 9th October, in order that these may be forwarded to the adjudicator.  Clear photocopies may be used for this purpose.

 

 

 The competitor will be required to be present (whether performing or not) on the day of the adjudication.  The original written work must be provided on this occasion.

 

 Class 41

 COMPOSITION – OPEN

 Class 42

 SONG COMPOSITION – OPEN

 £6.50

 

Composition may be offered for one or more singers with any instrumental accompaniment.  A live performance must be offered with either a fully notated score or, where appropriate, (synthesized electronic music etc.) an annotation of the composition process verified by the competitor’s parent/ teacher.
